Tax Numbers and Filing Requirements in South Korea

  • Tax Numbers: Local registration number (13 digits) and Tax number (10 digits) are available, and companies are obliged to file a Tax number.
  • Filing Requirements: Public and externally audited companies must file financial data within three months of the financial year-end. Self-employed companies with small sales amounts are not required to file. Failure to comply results in additional taxes of 20-30%.
